Another pandemic profiteer bites the dust.
The boss of a Chinese Pharmacy and two of his associates have been sentenced to 15 years in prison for selling counterfeit masks at the height of the coronavirus outbreak. The face masks, which were falsely advertised as being made by 3M, made the company 4.3 million yuan (US $608,000). The defendants said they believed the products to be genuine and had been tricked into buying them by a supplier who provided fake quality certificates.
