The Brief
The project aimed to support Study NSW’s initiative of attracting international students to complete their tertiary education in NSW. The welcome bundle needed to reflect the state’s values while providing essential items for student life. The products had to be practical, sustainable, and create a lasting positive impression of NSW as a premier study destination.
Challenge
Investment NSW approached Inck with a mission: create a welcome bundle that would help international students in a meaningful way while studying in New South Wales. The challenge was to design a collection of items that would not only serve practical purposes but also embody the state’s commitment to sustainability and student well-being.

Inck developed a comprehensive welcome bundle that balanced functionality with sustainability. The centerpiece was a BPA-free lunchbox crafted from natural wheat straw fiber, accompanied by reusable cutlery. We included a metal branded water bottle for hydration, essential stationery items like pencils and highlighters, and a diary for organization. To add a touch of warmth, we incorporated sunscreen for Australia’s climate and sweet treats including jelly beans and mini M&Ms.
Implementation
Our team carefully sourced each item, prioritizing eco-friendly materials without compromising on quality. The wheat straw lunchbox exemplified this approach, offering a sustainable alternative to traditional plastic containers. Every product was selected to serve a specific purpose in a student’s daily life, from practical study tools to personal care items.
The Results
The welcome bundle received enthusiastic feedback from both Study NSW and international students. The practical nature of the items, combined with their sustainable properties, effectively communicated NSW’s commitment to student welfare and environmental responsibility. The bundle succeeded in making students feel valued and supported from their first day in NSW.
Key Learnings
